The Perfect Pairing: Dates and Nut Butter

Dates:

Dates are the star of this show. These small, wrinkled fruits are naturally sweet and offer a plethora of health benefits. Packed with essential nutrients like fiber, potassium, magnesium, and vitamins, dates provide a quick energy boost. They're also known to aid digestion, support heart health, and even improve bone health.

Nut Butter:

Whether it's peanut, almond, cashew, macadamia, pistachio or hazelnut, it will be a fantastic companion to dates. Nut butter adds a creamy, nutty richness that balances the natural sweetness of dates. Plus, nut butter is an excellent source of healthy fats, protein, and various essential vitamins and minerals.

At Nut House we make the nut butters ourselves from only 1 ingredient: NUTS!

How to Make Stuffed Dates with Nut Butter

Creating stuffed dates is super easy, and to be honest, it's so simple that it's even weird to call it a recipe.

1. Prepare the dates
Split the dates lengthwise by using a knife and remove the pit and the crown. Be careful to not cut the date all the way through.

2. Fill with nut butter of choice

Take a teaspoon of your preferred nut butter and carefully stuff it into the cavity of each date. You can fill them generously for a richer flavor or more sparingly if you prefer a lighter snack

Add toppings (optional)

If you would like to take your stuffed dates to the next level, consider adding some toppings. Chopped nuts, shredded coconut, a dusting of cocoa powder, or goji berries can all add extra flavor and texture.

Serve and Enjoy!

Keep them in the fridge for at least 2 weeks or freeze them for up to at least 3 months.
