Ingredients
- 2 ripe banana's
- 60 grams nut butter of choice (we love to use cashew or almond butter for this recipe)
- 1 Medjoul date (remove the pit)
- 2 tbsp of cacao
- 1 cup of water
- 2 ice cubes
- Optional: toppings like goji berries, cacao nibs and nuts
- Tip: Extra protein? Add a scoop of protein powder
Put all the ingredients in a blender and blend on high speed.
Adjustments
If you like your smoothie more sweet, you can possible add more dates. If you're not such a sweet tooth you can leave out the date.
If you would like your smoothie thicker, we would recommend adding more ice cubes, instead of reducing the water.
Turn this smoothie into a smoothie bowl by adding 1 more banana. Skip the water and ice and put your blender on the lowest speed to get thick and creamy 'nicecream' consistency. Add toppings like granola.
