Vegan Date Caramel

This recipe is quick and easy, just like you are used from us. You can use this caramel in your bakeries, as a frosting, as a dip with your fruit or even as a spread on some toast.

What do you need?

Optional:

  • Vanilla
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Remove the pit and the crown from the dates.
  2. Place everything together in a high speed blender. Blend until smooth and creamy. You might have to stop the blender a couple of times to scrape the sides. Make sure there are no date chunks left. Add more nut milk if desired.
  3. You can serve immediately

Make sure to store leftovers in an airtight jar or container in the fridge. It will stay good for a week.

Tips

  • Are your a dates a bit hard? This can happen when they've been in the fridge. Get them out of the fridge 2 hours before making the spread.
  • Are the dates still a bit hard? Soak the dates in hot filtered water. (don't throw the water away! This water becomes deliciously sweet, perfect for making iced tea)
